Jan Beaney
Jan Beaney is one of Britain's leading contemporary embroiderers and teachers. Jan has written many publications, articles and appeared on several television programmes. Jan lectures throughout Britain and abroad. Jan joined the 62 group in 1963 and has shown in all of their major exhibitions. Jan's work involves using innovative machine stitchery, often using water soluble techniques to create new stitched fabrics. Design themes are based on drawings of colour and texture in landscape.
